it's been awhile..

hola amigos!!


so i've been super duper busy lately and haven't even had time to think about blogging lately (even though courtney wagley has been on my booty about it) but something GREAT happened in the last couple of weeks....I GOT A NEW JOB! :) Today was my first day and i'm already in love with my new position. What i'm now doing is inside sales for a company in Keller (which is where I live and I literally have a 5 mile commute to work every morning which also means...NO MORE TRAFFIC!!!!!) talking to elementary schools all over the country about getting them to sign up with us to do something called a holiday shoppe. A holiday shoppe is what PTO/PTA groups set up for the kids at the school to come in and be able to buy little presents/goodies for their parents, g-parents, aunts uncles ect. It reminds me of having book fairs when I was in school, and all the little gifts range from literally .25 cents to $10. The company I work for is called Jenny's Penguin Patch (I know how cute) and here's the website http://www.penguinpatch.com/ if anyone out there reading this is interested in setting up a holiday shoppe at their child's school :) 


I'm also sooooo excited for this weekend because the crew is getting back together and headed to Stephenville Saturday afternoon to go see Josh Abbott play at City Limits :) I'm so ready to see all my friends that I never get to see plus have a reunion in the Ville! Needless to say i'm praying for this week to fly by...

Just An Update..

I honestly thought I would never do this and I also thought I really have nothing interesting to say but hey you only live once so why not! So here's a little about me if you don't already know. Name is Kristen Townson and I also go by KT..KTOWN..and my dad calls me by my middle name if he is super angry. I am a 25 year old college student (I KNOW STILL!!) but i'm almost done so expect a huge party when that happens. I'm still in college due to my dad falling ill of cancer a few years so I took a year off and moved home to be closer to him and my family. After that year moved back to the "Ville, started school again, changed my major AGAIN, and now i'm on the downhill slide to getting the diploma. I moved to Fort Worth in April to get away from the  "college town" and now I attend the Tarleton Fort Worth campus which I love! It's mostly online and night classes which i'm totally down for. I live in north Fort Worth with two of my best friends from college Bailey and Melissa in a cute two story duplex.  Here we are at LJT 2009 I believe.

So that's all about me so let me fill you in on my weekend I just had....Friday night was a BLAST! I went with a bunch of friends to a bar in Arlington called Little O's which is like three bars in one. It has a huge patio if you like to sit outside and sometimes they have a cover band that plays, a "club room" that plays all the new rap music and people dance, and then my personal favorite...a KARAOKE room! I'm sure all of you TSU people out there remember doing karaoke every Tuesday night at the Agave and after a few dollar keystones jumping up there singing some Spice Girls or Miley Cyrus (right Christina Reno). But what makes this so great is that they have a huge treasure box full of costumes you can wear like funny hats or a penguin costume. So needless to say we had a good time. And then on Saturday was wedding day!! One of my great friends from college Christina Reno was getting married that evening and I was so excited to see her all dolled up but also to see friends from college I hadn't seen in a long time. We had a great time and Christina looked BEAUTIFUL! Here are some pictures from Saturday night:

So that sums up my weekend! I'm ready for this weekend to roll around so I can see some more friends I haven't seen in awhile plus Whiskey Myers is playing at a bar here in Fort Worth that we are all going to Saturday night. I'm probably going to be made fun of for saying this but i'm really excited to watch Snooki's E True Hollywood Story that's on tonight..
